OUR SERVICES

Education and Academic Support

We know that education is a right, not a privilege. However, many of the children in our care have faced interruptions in their education due to trauma, special educational needs (SEN), or exclusion.

That’s why we make sure every child has access to personalised learning opportunities, even if they cannot attend mainstream school settings. We develop customised educational pathways that align with each child’s learning level, emotional readiness, and aspirations.

What we offer:

  • Bespoke education timetables developed in consultation with Virtual Schools and EHCP teams
  • Daily education sessions delivered in-home or via trusted education partners
  • Functional skills, core subject work packs, and accredited pathways
  • Access to tutors, mentors and vocational placements

Support strategies include:

  • Trauma-informed educational practice
  • Structured learning environments
  • Sensory breaks and emotional regulation tools
  • Close liaison with SEND professionals

“We believe that education is a right, not a privilege.”

We focus on re-engagement first. For some, that means short literacy tasks and one-to-one sessions; for others, it may include using online learning platforms or reintegration into college or specialist schools. We don’t just measure progress by grades. We also measure it by confidence, curiosity, and consistency. We celebrate every achievement, no matter how small, and support our children in seeing education as a meaningful part of their future. Our educational offering is flexible, aspirational, and grounded in the belief that learning should be accessible to everyone.

Individualised Care Plans

Every child has an individualised care plan developed in partnership with their key worker, family, and professional network. Daily life at Above and Beyond balances therapeutic support with structure and routine.

This includes:

  • 1:1 therapeutic keywork sessions
  • Access to formal or informal education
  • Recreational, cultural, and skill-building activities
  • Emotional regulation and independence coaching

We know healing happens through relationships. That’s why consistency, trust, and empathy are embedded into our daily care.

Above and Beyond is committed to:

  • Providing a safe, homely environment
  • Supporting emotional recovery and personal growth
  • Preparing children for brighter, more independent futures

We welcome referrals from:
